Audio and video
- Auto start videos
-
Videos will start automatically
On mobile devices no auto start is available by design.
- Play maximized
- Videos will be maximized to the browser window. If you want full screen videos, turn this option off, and let the user switch to full screen with the Full screen button. Unfortunately you can't do it automatically, because switching to full screen should always be initiated by the user.
- Display video title
- You can have the title displayed on the player, which disappears automatically after 3 seconds of inactivity.
- Prioritize Flash
-
The built-in video player component is using the browsers HTML5 video player component if available and falls back to Flash only in need. You can change this logic however.
Please note, most mobile devices don't use Flash at all, and will fall back to HTML5 anyway.
- Player theme
- You can choose Light, Dark or Auto, which automatically selects the one fits better with the theme.
Background music
Make sure the names of the MP3 files don't contain apostrophes ', quote marks ", and any other non-web-safe characters.
In order the background music plays as soon as the page is loaded, downsample them to max. 128 kbits/s, and choose shorter songs.
- Use audio files in the album as background music
- With this feature the audio files added in the album will be used as background music (and will be skipped from the album at the same time). The advantage of this method is that you can add different music in different folders.
- The files
-
Add files from your PC here. You can change order, remove them, and play them with the controls.
- Auto-start
-
The background music will start automatically when you visit tha page.
Please note, no automatic start of media files is allowed on mobile devices by design.
- Controlled by slideshow
-
The background music starts when you start the slideshow, and stops when you stop it.
When a video is played during the slideshow, the music will stop, and will not restart after stopping the video.
- Loop
-
The background music will start from the beginning when it has reached the end. If there are more songs added, it will continue with the first one.
- Retain play position
-
When the visitor leaves the page the current play position is saved, and the background music will continue at the same position when entering the same page again.
The play position is retained for one hour. After that it will start at the beginning again.
