3. Create a separate folder for the selected/corrected images

If you want to make a presentation / web gallery, it is a good practice to make separate folders for each presentation type. For making a web gallery later it is advisable to avoid extended (accented) or punctuation characters and also spaces in the folder names. Use only the basic english letters (A..Z, a..z) numbers (0..9) and underscore ("_"). Try to keep it simple, for this will be the folder name on the web too. The date is useful here also to be able to sort by date easily if you plan to make a combined gallery.

Browse through the original images and select those you want to show and copy (not move!) them to the new folder. Please note, that simply drag and dropping a file on the same drive will remove it from the original folder. To make a copy press the right mouse button while moving it and choose 'copy' (or use Ctrl key on Mac).

I occasionally also make a TV presentation with a subset of the web album images. For this purpose I create a "Slideshow" folder. After correcting the images (next step) for the album I copy the selected ones to this folder and resize them all to 720x576 px for normal TV or 1,920x1,080 px for HDTV.
