Setting up a workflow in the begining will spare you time, and helps keeping the My pictures folder tidy.
1. Collect images into subfolders by trips / occasions If you create folders for each trip / occasion you can easily find later whatever you look for even with the Search / Find File utility of the operating system. Use depictive names, and also include the date in the folder name too. The best is using the YYYY/mm/dd scheme as this way ordering the folders by name will result in folders ordered by date too. You might also want to assort your images by year (if you have lots of pictures every year).
