3. The Project Folder Method

  • Create a new folder in the Input data, say MasterAlbum.
  • Create a Master Album project file (MasterAlbum.jap) in the MasterAlbum folder.
  • Make all configurations. Set the key parameters:
Image directory = Master Album folder
    Output directory = Output folder
    Process subdirectories = unselected
  • Add the Input data by drag-&-dropping the relevant Input folders onto the JAlbum's GUI's right pane. This then effectively uses the existing Input data, the source data.
  • Make Album

See MasterAlbumFolder.jpg. The difference between this and the Input Method above is a subtle one; it somewhat isolates the JAlbum Project data from the source data, as some of these files will now reside in the MasterAlbum folder. However, the current version of JAlbum (v7.1) does not allow complete isolation, so Project file may well exist in the source data. This method is discussed, though, in case a future JAlbum version allows for an entirely "virtual album structure".
